EDUCLEAN Ltd/ BOREHAMWOOD FOOTBALL CLUB SPONSORSHIP DEAL

Bracknell-based commercial cleaning specialist Educlean Ltd is proud to announce it has signed up for a two-year sponsorship deal with Boreham Wood Football Club.

As a new principal sponsor of the Vanarama National League side, the facilities management company’s name and logo will feature on the back of the team shirts and on pitch-side boards around the Meadow Park stadium in Hertfordshire.

The deal cements Educlean’s long-held commercial dream of supporting an up-and-coming club and its youth academy.

Educlean CEO Mary-Jane Pettit, who has three sons, said that supporting young footballers gave her and her family immense pleasure.

She said: “Due to exceptional growth, we are in a position to give back. They have implemented a lot of new changes and are a team to watch!

“We have built a lasting relationship with everyone at BWFC and, alongside the club, have worked extremely hard through the pandemic to ensure the safety of all.

“My family and staff are over the moon.”

Educlean has looked after the commercial cleaning of Meadow Park for over a year. The company also holds contracts with Pension Insurance Corporation in Cornhill, Sodexo, Government agencies, and other high-security buildings.

The firm’s ambition is to improve sustainability in the cleaning industry and reduce its environmental impact. It has been a trailblazer in this sphere by utilising environmentally-friendly chemicals where possible, products with minimal packaging, and introducing a ‘zero landfill’ policy in 2018.

Mary-Jane has worked with premiership football stadiums and Wembley Stadium to increase sustainability and productivity, and ensure the wellbeing of staff, players, and fans.

She has 25 years’ experience in the cleaning industry, holds the prestigious title of Liveryman for the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners, and in 2015 won the Sustainability Innovation Award for the UK.

Boreham Wood FC, who were narrowly beaten by Harrogate Town in their play-off semi-final this season, has the biggest and most successful non-league sports education programme in the UK and currently have over 600 academy players.

Boreham Wood FC commercial director, Mandee Morris, said: “Educlean’s story is much like ours. Both organisations started off small and through commitment and hard graft, are now becoming more well-known, hopefully we can continue to be two caring, successful and socially responsible organisations within our own industries.

“Mary-Jane and her team are phenomenal. They have worked tirelessly with us to make sure our staff, players, their backroom staff, our students and fans are put first and feel safe. Educlean is simply a great fit at this time for us and we are delighted the company has chosen to partner up with us.”

BWFC also house both the Arsenal Women, Youth and Arsenal Development squads here at Meadow Park and Educlean’s name will appear on ground boards for the first time when the Arsenal Women’s team take on Reading FC Women on September 6. Boreham Wood FC’s season begins in October.
